It looks like its been a little while since I wrote last. Here is Jake and Abby on their way to church last week. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Abby in her outfit! Anyway not much new. Ben had his first game, they lost but did o.k. This week there is a tournament so hopefully they can get somes wins out of it! I really enjoy being back into basketball and watching Ben coach and the boys play. It won't be long and Jake will be out there on the floor:) We're looking forward to spending some Christmas time out in Washington this year the kids and myself will be out Dec. 16-29th and Ben comes a little later because of b-ball! Can't wait to see everyone!Monday, December 3, 2007

Leaves Are FUN!

Sunday was a great day to spend time outside! The kids enjoyed playing in the leaves. Jake jumped right in. Abby was kind of girly jumping in them. It was a beautiful day and we should have a couple more this week before it really gets cold!
Abby don't ever lose that sense of WONDER!
Crazy Daddy ... What is he doing?

A day at the Park
Jake's New Room!
Finally we are pretty much finished with Jake's room. After Abby's room I went through burnout hers was just too much of a pain. But we needed to get Jake out of chaos so he could have a nice room too. He loves it and has been playing up there a lot more already!! That means more toys out of the family room!! I think it's a perfect room for a sportsy little boy!

Basketball!
Basketball is in fullb swing in our house! After finding out Monday that Ben has a gallstone he started practice that evening. He's been having pain for about a year and a half now and just finally got it checked out. The Doctor in the Family said it was a "gigantic" stone! Anyway he'll probably have to get that removed maybe over Christmas break. So right now he's just really trying to watch what he eats.
Basketball brought out around 50 kids on Monday and already as of yesterday I think he has had 14-16 quit. The ones that needed t o so that's good! He has some pretty athletic kids this year so hopefully they can play basketball! He of course has been exhausted going morning and night but he is definitely back into it!

Our New Entry Way!

Well Jake decided it was time to redecorate. We've had some wallpaper problems and he took care of them. One day he was sitting on the stairs not to my knowledge of course. I was upstairs putting some clothes away and I heard him talking to himself. I didn't realize it was ripping the wallpaper right off. Oh well now we have a new look let me know what you think:) We are going to leave it this way until we actually buy it... that will give us some time to decide what color we want it. I also have taken on a new job... I'm stripping all the paint off the staircase and baseboards. Lets just say it's a lot of work I told Ben I was going to need something to do over the next 4 months and well that's probably as long as it's going to take!! There are like 4 layers of paint on everything. I think its going to look way better and not so dirty when I am done!

Alot has been happening!
Once again it seems like I just can't catch up so I'll try to fill you in a bit on what's been happening. First of all my sister and brother-in-law along with their two kids came to Kansas to visit! We had some good times! The kids pretty much kept themselves entertained and played and played and played! I'm so glad Jake and Abby have some special times with their cousins even though they don't get to see each other whenever they want. They were here to help Abby celebrate her 1st birthday! Pretty special for the birthday girl! It was nice to have some more kids there! While they were here they also had the chance to go visit some friends they have met through the trisomy 18 foundation. Two families over here close to where we used to live had babies with trisomy 18 around the time Kaleb was born. They were able to go meet these families and share similar stories in their journey of life. It was very special for them and I thank God they were able to do this!

Next Jake is back to school and ready for his first field trip! TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH! Abby and I had the privilege of going along with him and for the most part it was fun! You'll notice Abby wasn't so sure of some of the scarecrows:)

Last week Friday Jake had his first hospital visit... but just to get dental work done. He had so much to get done they actually just put him out. How I would enjoy that when I got dental work done:) He was perfect going in with the nurse but waking up from the anesthesia wasn't so
perfect. Overall he did great!
Next comes ARKALALAH... don't ask me what it stands for but it's the celebration of the town. They have a carnival a lighted parade, a kids parade and a very LONG parade... they have street games, lots of good food, races and more... it was a crazy last part to the week but it was fun!!

Last of our busy week we carved pumpkins... Jake's is a bat and abby's a cute little face! wow and can you believe its almost November!
