Wednesday May 23, 2007

Well here we are recovering from the fin and feather weekend. We got there around 8:30 and little Jake decided to be the last one standing(besides his mom who made sure he went to bed.) his cousin Bishop stayed up with him and I think they were the last two playing dinosaurs and runnin' around. But the whole weekend was fun and we always enjoy going. Jake and Abby went swimming... played with the cousins... jake rode his bike... drove a corvette... played dinosaurs... played kickball,t-ball,tennis,football....anything he could do he was doing... the adults even had our own softball game with a little baseball and t-ball bat...quite humerous!

well I think we're putting our house on the market Monday... hopefully it won't take too long to sell... Ben is in Ark City today meeting with his team and the rec director for the town.

Jake, Abby and I had a play date with the Bible study ladies and Jake just loves playing with all the kids... they will be coming to his birthday so he's looking forward to that!

Jake also got his 3 year pictures taken and they turned out adorable...he just looks too old!

Abby is teething and not sleeping and still just wants mommy:)

Softball state is on Friday...we're looking forward to that and I've posted a picture of the team:)

well we gotta get to practice so I'll try to be better about writing!

Arkansas City Here we come!

Well we are now going to be Ark City Bulldogs... purple and yellow ! Ben interviewed today for the coaching job and got offered the job. He signed and is now the new coach! He is very exicted and looking forward to the job. He'll be teaching government, economics and comparative religion. We will be making the move sometime at the end of the summer! Keep us in your prayers and we have another move and transition to make!

We're off to the annual Fin and Feather Proctor Bunch get together. It will be a fun weekend with family that is for sure!

The Newton Softball team I've been working with last night made it to state! It was very exciting for them and we will go to state next week! It brought back some good memories:)

Monday May 14, 2007

This week will be kind of crazy and may be just another week or may mean another change in our lives. First tomorrow the kids and myself go to softball regionals. This may be it or it may mean a chance to go to state on the 25th... Friday we head to Ark City where Ben will be interviewing for the head boys b-ball job! Pray for him as he waits a few more days this week. It has been a long process for him. He has had the teaching job for over a month now but doesn't want it unless he gets the coaching with it:) He's very excited to interview and I believe he is the best coach out there for the job. This however would require another move for us. Ark City is where Ben's parent's live, but its over an hour away so just too much driving... Anway we should find out sometime next week would be my guess, but then again this has been a crazy month in waiting so who knows.
After Ben interviews we're off to Fin and Feather down in Oklahoma the Proctor family vacation time! Jake can not wait to go, this is all he's been talking about all day. He loves to be around all his cousins, swimming and playing! We're looking forward to the time also its a good refresher and time to be with family. Well we'll let you know how the week turns out for us! I hope all you moms had a special mother's day with your families... mine was great! But when you have great kids it makes it easy to enjoy!! My husband was good to me too!

Weather!

Well we didn't get any of the horrible weather but we did get a good look at some cool clouds, hail and lots of rain! It's been raining here all weekend but we didn't get any of the severe stuff! We are very thankful for that! I'm sure many of you heard about the Greensburg tornado. A lady in my Bible study had family there. They are o.k. but lost everything. We are thankful nothing got close to us but at the same time very sad for those who have lost so much!
Just thought we would share a little of the weather with you!

Wednesday Evening May 2, 2007

Well Jake got his first dentist appointment out of the way! He did great! At first he was very shy and didn't want to talk or anything but finally he did and they got him to open his mouth and show them all his teeth! they took x-rays and they turned out good. He was so cute. Then the doctor came in and layed him back in the chair and he started tearing up and turned to me... but he again relaxed and let him look in his mouth. He said that Dr. Red (he was wearing red scrubs) layed me back and it was a little bit scary:) He has something with the calcium in his teeth so now he has to go to a pediatric- dentist he had a couple spots on his front teeth. I was so proud of him for doing so well! He chose to go to McDonalds for lunch so we went there to celebrate!
Abby Joy turns 7 months today and just keeps on growin'!!

Wednesday

Jake gets to go to the dentist for the first time today! We'll let you know how he does and how it goes... He has a spot on one of his teeth so hopefully its nothing too bad. He keeps saying "Where am I going? oh the dentist yah... he's nice":) we'll keep you posted

Tuesday morning

Today it's suppose to rain again and once again we're suppose to have a softball game. We have had so many cancelled and rescheduled these last two weeks are going to be crazy.
Jake's softball buddy Tanner plays with him at all the games, but his mom called this morning to tell Jake Tanner wouldn't be at the game tonight. Jake was sad but decided he wanted to go to Annie's house...we'll see if it works out.
Jake and Abby both do really well at all the games. Yesterday I had one of my b-ball players come and watch them and Jake and Sadie played at the park, playing pirates and digging tunnels in the sand. It was a beautiful day! Sadie was great and is one I think we'll call more often to come watch the kiddos!
Ben is still waiting on a call for an interview, it should come sometime this week! continued patience and prayer!
For those of you who want to know I'll probably be coming out to Lynden with the kids around June 28 or so. My friend Erin is getting married and so we'll be there~!! if you want to type on the blog site you actually can just become a member and then you can type to us....or you can start your own... just go to http://www.blogger.com/ and follow the directions...its all free and pretty easy! We'll be writing more as time goes on but for today we need to get ready for the game. It pretty much takes all morning to pack the car with all Jake's toys:) and get everything together so we don't forget something... I'll take and picture and show you our normal way at the game:)
