Spring Break!

The kids in the hot tub.... then our trip home.... Jake was pooped out.... Abby had Jake's glasses on and when I say "cool dude" I stick two thumbs up... that's her own cool dude look!

Our spring break was kind of busy. My friend Renee VanKooten from College came to visit us! She was here from Sat. til Wed. We shopped, hung out and just played with the kids! It was a nice visit She gave Jake the piranha panic game which we play almost every night and jake pretty much beats me every time!! We left to go to Southeast Kansas to visit our friends the Spanglers on Wed. Jake found his new hero... He did absolutely everything Caleb did and wanted to be at his side every minute. They stayed busy on the trampoline, playing b-ball, going to the park, playing nintendo, watching ping-pong,sitting in the hot tub etc. The adults stayed busy playing guitar hero... I'm not very good yet but I was getting better... Ben and Jeff also played a little ping-pong... Teresa and I didn't make it that far she was enjoying beating me at guitar hero though:) Abby followed Kaylee around the house and played with anything Kaylee gave her! It was good times and hopefully we can make it back there before another year passes! The rest of our break we just spent together as a family, playing games, hanging out and watching some b-ball games!

Jake and His Buddies

Gabe and Mia have become Jake's newest friends. We usually get together atleast once a week to let the kids play. They have a little sister Natalia that Abby likes to play with...well just kind of look at I guess:) Their Dad works with Jake's Dad at the highschool and their mom stays home with them like Jake's mom! Its been good to have someone to get together with for the kids and also the moms:)!

Basketball is over and I think Ben feels a little lost! He'll have his banquet on Monday and then it's officially done for the year! Over all I must say Ark City had a pretty good season and it was fun going to the games to watch them play! The 7th grade girls were not as successful:( But we had fun too! I'm on to softball now which has been a nice change of pace too! I'm still trying to get back on track with my blog, but I just can't seem to keep up!

pretty princess

Our pretty little princess girly girl... Abby isn't really a girly girl but today she got to dress up and try it out! She loved her little high heeled shoes that she could clunk around in. She can go from this to wrestling her brother to the ground. I guess she's the all around kind of girl:)

Jake got to go sing at a nursing home for his fieldtrip this month. He told me he got to go sing to the old ladies. They sang some pretty cute songs and gave valentine's to the residents there. This is him with Francis. He loves to sing and dance so this was perfect for him.

This is what I find when I look at my camera after my son has had it for a few minutes! I guess he was having fun:)

It's February!

Wow! I can't believe it's February already! Things here haven't changed much just a lot of basketball. Ben's team continues to do well I love going to the games and the kids do very well at them. They like to play with all their friends. My 7th grade girls have the month of Feb. to play games and we'll be done then onto softball. We got some snow the other day so Jake and Abby went over to their Ma's house to make a snowman, I guess Jake named him Harry! They usually have to come to practice with me, so this was a nice break for them!

Ben's Grandma Proctor passed away last Sunday morning. We went down to Tulsa on Thursday for her funeral which was such a neat celebration of her life. She was loved a lot by many people including us and had such a wonderful impact on many people's lives. All you heard was how much she loved to give to others, be with her family and read her Bible! What a testimony to our family! We love you Grandma!

I'm am once again reminded how important and special family is! I feel so blessed to be almost 30 years old and still have all four of my grandparents! They are special people who too have impacted my life and will always hold a special place in my heart! My Grandpa Geleynse had surgery on Thursday and is home and doing o.k.! Thinking of you Grandpa!

Love to everyone!
