Jake's Birthday!

Jake had a fantastic party! He had so much fun with all his little friends. Drew, Daniel, Alex, Owen, Campbell, Talby and Annie! Jake was all about them being there to play! They swam, did the slip and slide, jumped in the bouncy house... tried to knock open the pinata... and more! Jake was so cute and just kept going and going! His Papa and Ma also came which always makes him happy! Check out more pictures of Jake's big day on his blog...

since then we have been back to Pittsburg to visit our friends! We've made it through the MAYB kick off tournamen... and down to Oklahoma City to pick up my friend Renee VanKooten who came to visit! It's been crazy and busy and that's why it's taken so long to update.

I will soon be flying out to Washington to visit my family and friends...just me and the kids:( Ben will be starting his job July 1st... we'll still be gone. We haven't decided on anything as far as moving etc. so it could get very interesting in the next couple of weeks! Tomorrow we're hoping it's nice so we can take Jake to the park with the water fountains so he can play all day! I'll try to keep updates coming quicker!

We're having everyone over for lunch and then just play time:) it should be fun and hopefully the rain will hold off long enough for us to enjoy the outdoor activities we have planned! We'll update you later with some pictures of the big birthday boy:)

Wednesday May 23, 2007

Well here we are recovering from the fin and feather weekend. We got there around 8:30 and little Jake decided to be the last one standing(besides his mom who made sure he went to bed.) his cousin Bishop stayed up with him and I think they were the last two playing dinosaurs and runnin' around. But the whole weekend was fun and we always enjoy going. Jake and Abby went swimming... played with the cousins... jake rode his bike... drove a corvette... played dinosaurs... played kickball,t-ball,tennis,football....anything he could do he was doing... the adults even had our own softball game with a little baseball and t-ball bat...quite humerous!

well I think we're putting our house on the market Monday... hopefully it won't take too long to sell... Ben is in Ark City today meeting with his team and the rec director for the town.

Jake, Abby and I had a play date with the Bible study ladies and Jake just loves playing with all the kids... they will be coming to his birthday so he's looking forward to that!

Jake also got his 3 year pictures taken and they turned out adorable...he just looks too old!

Abby is teething and not sleeping and still just wants mommy:)

Softball state is on Friday...we're looking forward to that and I've posted a picture of the team:)

well we gotta get to practice so I'll try to be better about writing!

Arkansas City Here we come!

Well we are now going to be Ark City Bulldogs... purple and yellow ! Ben interviewed today for the coaching job and got offered the job. He signed and is now the new coach! He is very exicted and looking forward to the job. He'll be teaching government, economics and comparative religion. We will be making the move sometime at the end of the summer! Keep us in your prayers and we have another move and transition to make!

We're off to the annual Fin and Feather Proctor Bunch get together. It will be a fun weekend with family that is for sure!

The Newton Softball team I've been working with last night made it to state! It was very exciting for them and we will go to state next week! It brought back some good memories:)

Monday May 14, 2007

This week will be kind of crazy and may be just another week or may mean another change in our lives. First tomorrow the kids and myself go to softball regionals. This may be it or it may mean a chance to go to state on the 25th... Friday we head to Ark City where Ben will be interviewing for the head boys b-ball job! Pray for him as he waits a few more days this week. It has been a long process for him. He has had the teaching job for over a month now but doesn't want it unless he gets the coaching with it:) He's very excited to interview and I believe he is the best coach out there for the job. This however would require another move for us. Ark City is where Ben's parent's live, but its over an hour away so just too much driving... Anway we should find out sometime next week would be my guess, but then again this has been a crazy month in waiting so who knows.
After Ben interviews we're off to Fin and Feather down in Oklahoma the Proctor family vacation time! Jake can not wait to go, this is all he's been talking about all day. He loves to be around all his cousins, swimming and playing! We're looking forward to the time also its a good refresher and time to be with family. Well we'll let you know how the week turns out for us! I hope all you moms had a special mother's day with your families... mine was great! But when you have great kids it makes it easy to enjoy!! My husband was good to me too!
