Preschool

Jake's first day of Preschool we returned to Kansas. He was ready to go and not a bit nervous. He walked right in loved his teacher and made a new friend right away. He goes to Sunshine preschool in Weir and loves it. He has been learning about frogs this week and always has something new to share!

O.k. we are finally back in Kansas and just got our computer set up so I now have a lot of catching up to do. Ben found us a house which we are now moved into and are liking it a lot! Jake has started preschool which got us right on track. He goes MWF for a couple hours with only 10 kids in his class which is nice. Ben is loving his job and Carla is trying to get into a routine over here... it will probably take me awhile but that's o.k. When Jake's at school Abby and I have lots of time together which she loves... we work on her shapes, make cookies and muffins and read lots and lots of books. Our other favorite thing to do is to play with dollies and call them Kenzie:) Ben was very happy for us to be back as were we, but we had a wonderful trip to WA and loved the time with my family! The last few days out in WA we kept busy. We got to see Ben's sister from Oregon for a few days and all the girls. We got to spend time with Kenzie Rose. We played a lot with the kids, spend time with my Granparent's which I am very thankful every day, and each time I get to see them... and all that and we got two extra days. I messed up my days and we were supposed to be home on Tues. and I thought Thurs. so they got us home just a red eye flight out and flying all through the night through Chicago into Wichita. My good friend Abby was kind enough to take her three kids, Jake and Abby's buddies and come get us! We had an easy trip back once we finally got on our way! Thanks to my parent's we stayed busy for a few extra hours in Seattle:)

Kenzie Rose

My sister had a baby girl Wednesday August 20, we were out here in WA still and are enjoying little Kenzie Rose. The kids have become the baby hogs:) It's pretty cute! Abby loves holding her and doesn't want to give her up. However they do have to fight Kenzie's older brother and sister for some time. I will admit I'm getting my fair share in too:) here are a few pictures! It's been awesome being here for them and being able to share in their happiness with the birth of Kenzie! We'll be coming home on Thursday August 28!

WASHINGTON!

We spent the day at the ocean at my Aunt and Uncle's Cabin! It was a gorgeous day and my cousins and sisters were there and all our kids! Everyone had a blast! Thanks Aunt Doreen

We are out in WA for a month visiting my family. I thought I would post a few pictures of our vacation out here and what we've been up to! This week it's the Fair which we'll be going to on Wed. so I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post then! WE are having a wonderful time here but missing Ben since he's been back in Kansas! We'll be back the 28th!

potty training!

Abby Joy decided it was time to get potty trained! Monday morning I gave her a bath and she didn't want to put on a diaper. I told her it was o.k. but she needed to be a big girl and go pee pee on the potty! Since Monday that's what she's been doing. Today she has been in panties all day long! She even tells me when she needs to go. I don't know this could be it? I wouldn't complain that's for sure. However we are making a month long trip to WA and then will be moving when we get back so that might not be so good but for now we're off to a great start! Way to go ABBY!!!!

Our Newest Fish!

Jake has become quite the swimmer and we're having a hard time keeing him out of the pool. The first time we came to the pool he was always wanting us to catch him and would hardly jump in... now he's swimming w/o swimmies and diving in, doing flips and swimming with his head under water! I can't believe what one month can do! Then there is our little Abby who just likes to wear her swimmies and walk around the pool and throw things in the pool! If I'm in the water she'll usually take a little dip:)

T-ball

Jake finished up his first season of T-ball and boy was it a challenge:) We had fun coaching and Jake had a great time playing. I was surprised how much they improved I didn't really think it would happen in T-ball. Anyway here are a few pictures from his last game and our picnic where they also received a trophy which was a big hit(thanks to Kody's mom for that)!
